ChangBERT F-IH-01SS vs F-IH-02SS: match voltage before wattage

ChangBERT’s F-IH-01SS and F-IH-02SS are related stainless one-zone countertop induction cookers, but their exact model codes identify materially different electrical plans. The 01SS / 102714-A is specified for 120 volts and 1,800 watts. The 02SS / 102718-A is specified by its model manual for 240 volts and 3,200 watts. Treat voltage and plug compatibility as the first decision, not a detail to resolve after comparing features.

Choose by the outlet you can actually use

The 102714-A manual lists 120 V, 60 Hz, 15 A and a NEMA 5-15P plug. That is the more ordinary household format, but the manual directs it to use a separate electrical outlet from other operating appliances because of wattage; check the actual circuit and preserve the required air clearance. The 102718-A manual lists 240 V, 60 Hz, 13.3 A and a NEMA 6-15P plug. It is not compatible with a normal 120 V receptacle. Although the 02SS page headline says “208–240V~15A,” the manual table states 240 V and 13.3 A. Do not rely on 208 V operation or use an adapter unless ChangBERT confirms the exact arrangement.

What is shared and what differs?

Both are single-zone cookers for flat-bottom magnetic cookware. The current shared manual gives each a 4.75–10.25-inch cookware contact-surface range; measure the working magnetic base rather than the pot’s top rim. Neither version can heat two pans at once, includes a confirmed wired food probe, documents outdoor use, or provides a built-in installation plan. The manual requires clearance around the appliance and says not to operate it outdoors.

The 01SS has manual-listed Heat levels from 200 to 1,800 W in 200 W increments and a separate 120–460°F Temp range in 20°F increments. The 02SS runs from 400 to 3,200 W and 120–500°F, with the same 200 W / 20°F step sizes. The detailed timer directions for both manuals stop at 9 hours 59 minutes, even though the introductory specification table and marketing pages round that to “10 hours.” The 01SS quick-reference sheet’s low/medium/high bands agree with the detailed manual, but its 02SS bands differ from the manual’s own band assignments. If the exact band labels matter to your routine, ask ChangBERT to clarify for your unit; the model manuals still list the selectable ranges and increments. Treat Temp as a cooktop control rather than a food thermometer or assured pan-surface reading.

Which one suits your routine?

Consider the 01SS if you need one pan, your counter has a suitable 120 V circuit, and its 1,800 W maximum is appropriate for your routine. Consider the 02SS only if you have a compatible 240 V / NEMA 6-15P supply and want its 3,200 W listed ceiling. The higher maximum does not independently prove faster cooking in every situation. Cookware, recipe, contents and use conditions still matter. If the 240 V receptacle is absent, the 02SS is not a workaround for a heavily loaded 120 V kitchen circuit; choose a model designed for the power you have or consult a qualified electrician about the installation.

Both units are listed around 11 pounds and are counter-sized, but portability does not change the operating instructions. A commercial-use description is not evidence of outdoor permission, and neither model is a substitute for a double burner or built-in hob. If a food probe, precise measured pan temperature, included cookware, or longer-than-9:59 timer is essential, confirm another exact model’s manual rather than assuming the two F-IH models provide it.

Check the exact label before purchase

ChangBERT’s two pages showed the products sold out on October 24, 2026; availability may change. If another listing appears, search both the series name and model number: “F-IH-01SS 102714-A” or “F-IH-02SS 102718-A.” Confirm the rating label, plug and corresponding manual because the stainless bodies can look similar while the required supply is different.
