The current official product record identifies Midnight Dream as CATIH1A-M, and this review, image and fit plan apply only to M. The shared manual cover names P/O/M; a separate retailer index identifies CATIH1A-P as Cherry, but its color-specific image is not mapped. CATIH1A-O still lacks an exact listing/image bridge.

A useful fit for

Fits a compact one-pan countertop routine when a 200 W minimum power step, 4-hour timer and 120 V / 60 Hz input suit the household setup.

The main tradeoff

The 200 W minimum is not a lower simmer option than CATIH1-OW’s listed 100 W step; its 1,500 W maximum and one zone also do not suit a two-pan or higher-output requirement. The page and shared manual give slightly different pan ranges, so the matcher uses the narrower page range.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is one pan at a time enough, or must two zones heat together?

CATIH1A-M is a single-zone cooker. It fits one-pan cooking and cannot heat two pans simultaneously.

Can the lowest Power step be no higher than 200 W?

The shared manual lists 200 W as P1. This meets a 200 W threshold but not a 150 W threshold.

Do you need a countdown timer that reaches four hours?

The shared P/O/M manual documents a one-minute-to-four-hour countdown that beeps and turns off the cooktop at expiry.

The Ciarra Donut CATIH1A-M is the Midnight Dream finish of a compact, one-zone induction cooktop. Its official product data lists 1,500 W, eight Power settings from 200 W upward, eight Temperature settings, a four-hour timer, and a square body measuring 11.8 inches on each side by 3 inches high. That combination differs from the CATIH1-OW: the Donut has a longer timer and smaller body, while the CATIH1-OW starts at 100 W and tops out at 1,800 W. Neither is a two-zone cooker, so choose between them by the pan, low-power floor and timer needs rather than their colorful product names.

Eight steps, not a wattage dial

The current Ciarra US product record identifies the exact listing SKU as CATIH1A-M and names its selected option “Midnight Dream.” The linked manual cover also names CATIH1A-P and CATIH1A-O, but the current official product record binds only the M SKU and its blue/indigo product image. A separate retailer index identifies CATIH1A-P as Cherry; its manual-family illustration and review are kept separate, and its finish-specific photo is not mapped. CATIH1A-O still lacks an exact listing/image bridge. This review and photo apply to CATIH1A-M only.

In the shared P/O/M instruction manual, the eight Power settings are 200, 400, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,200, 1,400 and 1,500 W. The separate Temperature sequence is 140, 210, 260, 300, 350, 390, 430 and 460°F. These are discrete choices, not continuously variable controls; the largest gap is 70°F between 140 and 210°F. The documents do not describe a food probe or say that Temperature mode reads the food’s internal temperature. A cook seeking repeatable food doneness still needs a separate thermometer. And a requirement for a 150 W-or-lower Power step rules this model out: its documented minimum is 200 W.

A four-hour timer, with real limits

The manual permits a one-minute-to-four-hour countdown; a short press adjusts the timer while holding a button changes it in ten-minute increments. When the selected time elapses, the appliance beeps and switches off. This is longer than the CATIH1-OW’s three-hour maximum and matters for a recipe that needs a set end time, but it does not make leaving a hot pan unattended safe. Ciarra’s manual explicitly warns not to leave cooking unattended. The appliance also has a child lock and residual-heat indicator. After cooking, the fan continues and the display remains at H until the cooktop cools below 120°F, so allow for a brief cooling period before moving or wiping it.

Check the base size and leave air around it

The page identifies a 170 mm (about 6.7-inch) central zone and lists magnetic cookware from 120 to 240 mm, approximately 4.7 to 9.4 inches. The manual gives a broader pan-bottom range of 4 to 10 inches. Those statements are not identical, so the safer screening choice is the narrower product-page range; if a pan is close to either limit, check the booklet shipped with the exact cooktop and verify the actual magnetic base, not the pan rim. Cast iron and compatible stainless or enamel pans can work; aluminum, copper, glass and nonmagnetic ceramics will not couple directly. A curved or undersized base can also fail to heat as expected.

The listed electrical input is 120 V/60 Hz and 1,500 W. The page gives a 5.5 lb net weight, 11.8 × 11.8 × 3-inch dimensions, 24-month warranty, automatic pan detection, child lock and residual-heat indicator. Keep four inches of free space around the unit’s air intake and exhaust, place it on a dry, stable surface, and do not use it in rain. The manual says this is a private-home appliance, not commercial equipment. “Portable” describes its countertop form; the documents do not establish a weatherproof outdoor operating plan.

Who should buy this exact finish?

The CATIH1A-M can suit a small kitchen, dorm or supplemental cooking surface when one pan is enough, a 200 W minimum fits the recipe, and the 240-minute timer is valuable. Its small square footprint and 5.5 lb listing make it easier to store than a larger double burner, but storage convenience does not answer whether a pan will fit the zone or whether the surface around it has enough ventilation space. If you regularly use a pan larger than the page’s 9.4-inch reference, seek a model with a clearly documented wider limit. If you need a lower first watt step, compare the CATIH1-OW or Nuwave PIC Titanium; if two pans must cook simultaneously, select a true dual-zone model instead. No headline feature offsets the Donut’s one-zone limitation.

Paper, software and setup details

Cookware fit and manual discrepancy

Exact page lists magnetic cookware from 120–240 mm (about 4.7–9.4 in); shared P/O/M manual gives a broader 4–10 in pan-bottom interval. Matcher uses the narrower product-page range conservatively.

Electrical and placement note

Exact US page lists 120 V / 60 Hz and 1,500 W. Do not infer a circuit amp rating from wattage alone.

Manual-version differences

The exact current Shopify record binds the Midnight Dream SKU CATIH1A-M and its image. A separate retailer index identifies CATIH1A-P as Cherry; P is documented in its own review, and the official manual-family illustration is not a Cherry-specific photo. CATIH1A-O exact listing/image mapping remains unresolved. Do not transfer M-only page dimensions, weight or image.

Body dimension order

Ciarra lists dimensions width × depth × height: 11.8 × 11.8 × 3 in.
