Model comparison
Nuwave PIC one-zone models: setpoints, power and manual fit
“PIC” covers several single-zone Nuwave cooktops, not one interchangeable appliance. The useful differences are the selected wattage floor, maximum setpoint and increment, exact-model manual, cookware guidance and current listing status. This comparison keeps a mismatched booklet visible instead of importing its instructions into a newer model code.
Compare the listed controls before choosing by name
| Exact model | Listed power choices | Temperature information | Document status that matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| PIC Pro Chef 30792LW | 900 / 1,500 / 1,800 W | Current page lists 100–575°F in 5°F increments | Linked 76-page manual identifies cooktop 30701, not 30792LW; do not transfer its pan or placement instructions. |
| PIC Diamond 30592LW | 600 / 900 / 1,400 W | Exact page states a maximum of 500°F; increment and minimum are unknown | Linked Owner Manual and Quick Start covers identify 30511, not 30592LW. Probe and pan details remain unknown for 30592LW. |
| PIC Gold 30211 | 600 / 900 / 1,500 W | 100–575°F in 10°F increments | Exact page and both manual covers identify 30211; exact manual conflicts over 10- versus 12-inch large-pan guidance. Direct page marked sold out. |
| PIC Gold Pro 30292LW | 700 / 900 / 1,500 W | Exact-owner-manual evidence gives 100–575°F in 5°F increments | Distinct Gold Pro code. A separate owner manual identifies 30292LW, while the current page-linked guides say 30212. |
| PIC Flex Pro 30503 | 600 / 900 / 1,400 W | Exact page/manual sources support 100–500°F in 5°F increments | Model-matched documents identify 30503; guides recommend up to 10-inch cookware and leave magnetic-base diameter unknown. |
What a low-wattage setting does and does not tell you
A 600 W option on the Diamond and Gold 30211 is not proof that every outlet arrangement can support either appliance. The 30211’s exact rating page says 120 VAC, 60 Hz and 1,500 W, and its manual advises a separate outlet from other operating appliances. The 30592LW product page lists wattage but not voltage; the 30792LW page lists 120 V, 15 A and 1,800 W, but its current linked manual is for model 30701. Verify the unit label and supplied booklet rather than treating a lower selectable level as universal electrical approval.
Likewise, wattage does not predict a controlled pan temperature or cooking speed across different pans. The PIC Pro Chef’s five-degree step is the finest page-listed increment in this comparison, while its lowest wattage choice is 900 W. The older 30211 manual gives a 600 W mode and ten-degree steps. Diamond lists 600 W and a 500°F maximum, but its exact adjustment step is not documented. If you set the finder to require a 5°F increment, Diamond is excluded as unknown, not because a 30511 manual proves that it lacks the feature.
Manual bridges change the recommendation
The Pro Chef 30792LW and PIC Diamond 30592LW pages are exact model pages with current product information, but the guides linked from them identify 30701 and 30511 respectively. The relevant manuals remain useful evidence about those printed models, not a license to assume the current suffix uses identical cookware limits or internal controls. Gold 30211 is the cleanest manual match of these three: its manual and Quick Start Guide identify 30211 and its rating line matches the page. Yet even that manual contradicts itself about larger pan size, so no 10- or 12-inch maximum is used as a hard finder promise.
The photographs also require care. A Diamond gallery image shows a probe, and its lower image description mentions an included thermometer, but there is no complete itemized package list and the two linked guides say 30511. The probe remains unconfirmed for the exact 30592LW offer. For 30211, Nuwave lists a recipe book; neither exact page nor manual identifies an included food probe. A displayed cookware-temperature setpoint is not a food probe measurement.
Translate the difference into your own cooking plan
- Choose the Pro Chef when 1,800 W maximum and 5°F steps to 575°F matter, and when you can verify the correct 30792LW manual before relying on pan limits or placement.
- Choose Diamond only if its compact 4.2 lb listed body and 600 W option suit you, and if unknown setpoint increment, voltage, cookware size and probe contents are not essential. Ask for the exact 30592LW documentation first if any are.
- Keep Gold 30211 in a reference shortlist for the exact 600 W / 10°F controls and model-matched manual, but note the manufacturer marked its direct offer sold out. Confirm the seller’s precise model and clarify the manual’s pan-size conflict.
- Compare the Flex Pro 30503 if you want an exact 30503 guide and 600 W setting with a 500°F maximum, or a true two-zone model if you need two pans heated together.
The finder treats each requirement as essential only when its exact model and one real operating plan document it. An unknown step size or pan limit cannot pass a numeric requirement. You can leave optional constraints blank when they do not decide the purchase. Start with the cookware and outlet guide, then read the linked exact model review and confirm that the seller’s booklet and rating label match the configuration you intend to buy.
